Mounting and Configuring the Database

Web-enabling a database with Gatsby Database Explorer is easy. First, using the Gatsby Design Assistant, you mount your database. This tells Gatsby Explorer how to connect to your database.

Next you can configure how your database is exposed through Gatsby Database Explorer. Using the Gatsby Design Assistant you can provide user-friendly names and descriptions for all of the items in your database, show or hide items, define lookups and much more.

That's all it takes to Web-enable your database. We've already mounted and configured the Northwind Traders for you so, let's start by looking at how the Northwind Traders database appears to customers and visitors from outside the company.
