Launching a Prototype

Just Do It

To launch a prototype, right mouse-click on a database, select “Launch Prototype As...” and choose the user context you want to login as. That’s it. There’s no code to write or generate.

Role Awareness

The prototype is dynamically generated based on the privileges of the user you selected. This allows you to see firsthand what that user can see and do.

A word of warning: initial results tend to look like....initial results; when Design Assistant is doing its job properly, the first version of the prototype will glaringly highlight opportunities for improvement. Fortunately, you can easily make changes through Enterprise Manager and come back to Design Assistant to validate them.

Multiple Prototypes

You can have multiple prototypes open at a time, each logged in as a different user, so that you can validate multiple user contexts.
