Gatsby Design Assistant 4.0 Tour
Once you’ve developed a conceptual model and translated that to a physical database schema using your favorite tools, you can use Gatsby Design Assistant to bring it to life. On the following screens, we’ll highlight some of the features you’ll use to quickly and easily build a functional prototype of your database application.
Getting Started
Familiar Tools
Like Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise Manager, Design Assistant is a Microsoft Management Console (MMC) Snap-In. This means you can quickly make changes to your database and see them prototyped, all from the same console. When you launch Design Assistant, it loads a preconfigured console that’s configured with both Enterprise Manager and Design Assistant.
Integrated Database Registration
Design Assistant works from the same set of registered SQL Servers and groups that you’ve already configured through Enterprise Manager, so there is no need to register them in both places.
Consistent User Interface
Design Assistant shares the same familiar tree view that you’ve used with Enterprise Manager. To get started with your prototype, simply drill down to a database. p>
